Connings is seeking a passionate People and Culture Manager to help lead our growing team.

  • Connings Food Market and Connings Farm is a thriving family-owned business specializing in fresh produce retail, wholesale, and farm-to-market operations. With deep roots in our community and a vision for an exciting future, we are seeking an experienced HR professional to take on a dynamic and impactful role as our People and Culture Manager.

    As our business grows, we recognize the importance of implementing more structured HR policies, processes, and systems to support our team and foster a positive workplace culture. This is where you come in.

  • This is an exciting opportunity for a capable and experienced Senior HR Advisor (or equivalent) to step into a permanent, full-time management position. In this newly created role, you will:

    • Develop and implement HR policies, processes, and systems to support our expanding business.

    • Coach and support managers and business owners on HR matters to promote best practices.

    • Shape and support our growing team through effective HR strategies.

    • Oversee and manage the Recognised Seasonal Employer (RSE) program to ensure compliance and team integration

    While this is an entry-level HR Manager role, you’ll be supported by external HR expertise as needed and given opportunities to further develop your skills in a dynamic and supportive environment.

  • We’re looking for someone who is:

    • Ready to take the next step into HR management

    • Experienced, with at least 6 years’ HR experience, ideally including generalist and advisory roles

    • Either holds a relevant HR qualification or has significant HR experience

    • Passionate about fostering positive workplace relationships and driving HR best practices

    • A great communicator with the ability to coach and guide managers effectively
